I hate medicine. No, you don't understand....I hate medicine! Even when I'm sick, I refuse to take medicine.
Okay, let's be honest for a second....I can't swallow pills. There, I said it! However, that's only part of the reason why I don't take medicine when I'm ill. Another part is that, well, I have an immune system! Now now, I'm not talking about the coughing-up-blood-nearly-dying kind of sickness, that's what hospitals are for! For everything else, there's laughter!
I believe life is about doing what you want to do. I sincerely believe that. No matter what aspect of life it is; whether it be work, family, friends, etc. I believe you should always do the things you want to do. I mean, hey, who knows how long you'll be around anyways, right? So why waste time doing things you don't want to do? So given that, I present you with two options:
-Laughing
-Crying
Which do you choose? Laughing is the obvious answer, but let's change up the scenario a bit. You're sick, you have problems at work, your friends are upset with you, your family is upset with you. Now which option do you choose?
Many of you may still choose the laughing option, but out of those only a few really mean it. I don't know what it is, but for some reason we often like to feel sorry for ourselves and have others feel sorry for us as well. Let me tell you...this is BOGUS!! This will in no way help you out! It will just prolong your sadness, and really, who wants to be sad?!
Instead, find the bright side in your situation and start to find ways to fix your problems at work! Find out why your family and friends are upset and try to mend your relationships! The sooner you do this, the sooner there will be a smile on your face!
When you're sick, don't just lay there like a bum! Get up! Get around! I don't know about you guys, but when I'm sick, as much as I just wish to lay in my bed, being active makes me feel so much better! Being out with friends, laughing, joking around, and having a good time makes me feel better than any amount of Tylenol, Advil, or Nyquil can!
So please, do yourself a favor. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and just laugh! Even if you don't feel like it, laugh! I promise it will lift your mood. Trust me, keep this up and the world will want to know your secret.
"How come you're always so cheerful? Aren't you sick? Didn't you get laid off? How are you still so happy?
Look them in the eye and say, "Just laugh bro, everything will be alright."
